Facilities and Space Management Specialist
This position is in the Facilities Team, Support Services Branch, Management Support Division, Office of Administration, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). The Support Services Branch provides a wide range of support services functions, including buildings and facilities management, equipment maintenance, construction, design and operations; property, supply and vehicle management; printing management, emergency planning, mail and courier service management and other services that provide BSEE and BOEM employees with appropriate support services to successfully accomplish their mission. At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Advises bureau officials on space and facilities management matters in order to maximize the utilization of space at minimum cost. 2.Provides technical leadership for the architectural, engineering and business management of designated facility and space management projects. 3. Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and program coordinator in implementing the policies and procedures prescribed by the General Services Administration in its Delegation of Lease Management Authority and Occupancy Agreements. 4. Develops the Support Services budget and provides documentation where appropriate to support expenditures, collects data for the General Support Services (GSS) and the office Administrative Operating (AdOps) Budget. 5. Serves as the lead coordinator of the BSEE Environmental Management System (EMS). Salary Information GS-12:
Step 1 $86,335 - Step 10 $112,240 per year. GS-13:
Step 1 $102,663 - Step 10 $133,465 per year. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. BSEE determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval. Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee. Direct experience overseeing government buildings operations, maintenance, and repair activities; Monitoring contractor performance for compliance with contractual specifications and takes appropriate remedial action; Primary contact for obtaining specialized building repairs and maintenance work; Conducting pre-construction and pre-award meetings with contractors to discuss contacts specifications; and Working experience utilizing AutoCAD for space planning design.
