Correspondence & Document Management Specialist

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Office of Administration, Records, Delegations and Directives Team. The incumbent will assist leadership to advance the Director and component offices' priorities by efficiently managing executive communications and records of correspondence. At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Incumbent is the Lead Administrator of the Bureau DTS (Document Tracking System) and/or other document control systems; trains staff in the official document tracking system. 2. Conducts studies; analyzes and coordinates document workflow. 3. The incumbent serves as technical expert on all matters pertaining to processing and controlling of bureau and departmental documents. 4. Writes, edits and reviews official correspondence and memoranda prepared in coordination with Department offices and Bureaus, BSEE Programs and regional offices on a variety of topics, often controversial or sensitive in nature. 5. Develops standard operating procedures, training standards, manuals, and handbooks. The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval. Salary Information GS-13:
$102,663-$133,465 per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available. This vacancy is also announced as BSEE-EECC-20-RD-092(MP) for those applicants who wish to apply and be considered under Merit Promotion procedures. Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Experience:
To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated
Experience:
1) serving as a technical lead of an interdisciplinary team for document and/or correspondence management; 2) developing training materials and/or conducting training sessions; 3) developing workflows/processes to support program objectives; and 4) developing program services for digitization/scanning and digital signature. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
