We are seeking a seasoned front desk Customer Service Associate / Administrative Assistant that is:
adept at learning POS software has customer facing skills with an outgoing and friendly demeanor excellent email etiquette able to memorize and follow processes able to complete tasks and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast paced environment This position is can be extremely fast paced during morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups and requires vigorous attention to detail as there are a lot of moving parts.
You will be dealing with customers, checking dogs in and out, ensuring reservations and appointments are being coordinated properly, and customer requests are being completed.
The position requires extensive communication and coordination among your peers.
A working phone, voicemail, and general responsiveness is required.
You must be prepared to be contacted by fellow employees off hours to answer any questions they may have about issues that arose during your shift.
The position requires reliability as we are a retail establishment and you will be responsible for both opening and closing the facility.
The training/trial period is 4-6 weeks and is paid.
Healthy Hound Playground is an upscale dog daycare and boarding kennel located in Sterling, VA, Northern VA (NOVA).

Responsibilities of Customer Service Associate:
Providing excellent customer service Welcome all customers promptly with an outgoing and friendly demeanor Doggy check in & check out Working with an intricate but modern POS kennel software Answering phones Responding to customer emails in a grammatically correct and professional manner Learning/memorizing an extensive amount of customer/dog policies and procedures Ensuring all daycare, boarding, and grooming reservations are accurately entered and approved in POS system & ensuring all new dogs are signed up properly Monitoring and obtaining vaccination records from customers and vets Giving helpful tours of the facility Selling daycare, boarding & grooming packages Answering phones, including customer calls & educating them on our processes and services we offer Reception area cleaning Flexibility on hours and willingness to work as a team to provide coverage (30-40 hours per week, occasional overtime if needed) Must be available to work one weekend day Required Candidate Qualities Must have an outgoing, friendly, and welcoming personality You will be the face of our company, and often the first person our customers will meet - A positive, mature, professional demeanor and appearance are a must Genuine Love for Dogs / animals Strict Attention to Detail Organized & Cleanly Patience with teammates and customers Able to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure without becoming overly stressed Punctuality & Reliable Attendance Able to work Holidays Must have Reliable Transportation Must have a working cell phone with voicemail activated and able to receive text messages.
