Job Description:
L3Harris is hiring a integration engineer and technical trainer to facilitate training events and assists lead instructor as needed.
Assists training developer with course development.
Builds, aligns, and qualifies precision opto-mechanical assemblies and systems.
Disassemble and re-assembles subassemblies and systems down to piece-part level.
Inspects optical components for damage.
Maintains equipment and ensures calibration needs are met.
Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates.
Develop/deliver training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation and field service requirements.
Create course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the systems, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities.
Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting.
Trainer will be required to perform a 6-9 month field assignment in Palm Bay, FL to receive necessary program experience and training prior to performing tasking in VA.
Essential Functions:
Works with engineering team to evaluate and implement process improvements Engineer with at least eight years of experience in opto-mechanical assemblies with the ability to train on the technology.
Tasks may include developing instructional materials and/or web-based publications, as well as supporting training courses and demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Required.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Understanding of basic shop math such as ratios, graphs, algebra, and basic geometry.
Military trainer certifications.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, Adobe Dreamweaver, and computer proficient.
