Today, Reston Limousine operates one of the largest chauffeured fleets in the country and is one of Washington metropolitan area's largest provider of passenger transportation, luxury transportation, and government contract services.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our team, which operates in compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
As the HR Manager, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of human resources, ensuring compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, and fostering a positive and efficient work environment for our employees.
Your expertise in HR practices, combined with your knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, will be essential in supporting our transportation operations.
Responsibilities:
DOT and FMCSA Compliance:
Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Stay updated on changes in DOT and FMCSA regulations, and proactively update HR policies and practices accordingly.
Conduct regular audits and internal assessments to ensure that all employees and transportation operations meet the required compliance standards.
Collaborate with the safety and operations teams to address any compliance issues promptly and effectively.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Lead the recruitment and selection process for all positions, ensuring the hiring of qualified candidates who meet DOT and FMCSA requirements, including background checks and drug screenings as necessary.
Develop sourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent in the transportation industry.
Establish and maintain relationships with schools, industry associations, and other relevant organizations to build a pipeline of potential candidates.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
Oversee employee relations matters and ensure a positive and respectful work environment.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on DOT and FMCSA compliance, HR policies, and best practices.

Collaborate with finance and management teams to design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure the company's compensation and benefits remain attractive to current and potential employees.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs for employees and develop relevant training programs, including DOT and FMCSA compliance training.
Implement ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.
HR Administration and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, compliance documentation, and training records.
Ensure all required reports and filings related to DOT and FMCSA compliance are submitted on time.
HR Policy and Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and enhance HR policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with regulatory requirements.
Stay informed about industry best practices and implement innovative HR strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a transportation company with DOT and FMCSA compliance responsibilities.
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and their application to the transportation industry (preferred) Familiarity with HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and employee development.
Solid understanding of compensation and benefits administration.
Proficient in HR software and record-keeping systems.
Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
