Sterling, VA Period of Performance:
6 months starting in July (extensions likely) Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10/New Journey AI employees will be considered for this position.
New Journey AI/Genesis10 is actively seeking a Technical Support Tech I resource for a 6 month Contract position with potential for extension.
This Entry Level Technical Support position requires candidates to be self-starting, highly motivated, and collaborative individuals.
Being an entry level position, you will be provided the opportunity to grow in your role and with our client.
Responsibilities:
Working in Data Center; taking items off racks and open them up with tools Open up servers and perform hardware and network troubleshooting Communicate with local teams to ensure all proper break-fix work is completed on schedule.
Sanitize customer data and maintain secure custody of all equipment.
Relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment Perform repairs on hard drives, RAM, CPU, motherboards, fiber optics, etc Basic Networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations Updating progress through a web ticketing system Documenting procedures Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required HDD/SSD/Flash/Removable storage media Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
Basic skills/
Experience:
0-3 years of data center experience.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as NJAI/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
