Junior RF Engineer
A$ A' A' ?Orbcomm has an opportunity for a Junior RF Engineer within the Hardware Team.
The Hardware team is a multidisciplinary, multi-site team consisting of electrical design, layout, industrial engineering, and documentation that works closely with the Embedded Systems, Product Integrity, and Software Engineering teams.
The successful applicant will share in the responsibility of designing, validating, and testing ORBCOMM's industrial IoT devices and sensors.
Additional duties include participation in design reviews, testing and test automation, and documentation in our product lifecycle management tool.
This is a full-time position, which requires an in-office presence to support various aspects of the business, the successful candidate will work in our Sterling office.
Duties and responsibilities include:
RF design and verificationDesign and development of satellite, cellular, BLE, LoRa industrial IoT productsSpectrum analysis, network analysis, system testingComponent selection and schematic capturePCB design reviewAntenna tuning and verificationIntegration and co-design with mechanical and PCB design teamsAntenna matching, tuning, measurements, and pattern analysisSystem engineeringPropagation studies and field testingFull product life cycle supportProduct certification supportCustomization of standard products for specific large projectsSupply chain engineering supportOtherStrong English language skills are a mustInternational languages an assetHardware bench skills (soldering, debug, test automation)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly organized with attention to detail and strong time management skillsQualificationsExperience in a similar positionBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringGraduate degree preferred About ORBCOMM Inc.
