Our client, a mass media company, is looking for a Broadcast Systems Engineer to join their team out of Sterling, VA!
Responsibilities:
To provide technical support for all our Broadcast Services related to infrastructure, traditional playout systems, and hybrid-cloud playout systems, to ensure the highest possible levels of technical and operational continuity to all NetworksPrioritize tasks and respond to calls to quickly resolve technical issues as they arise from Master Control, Live events, Asset management and related areasAbility to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and maintain superior customer service demeanor.
Requirements:
2 to 5 years' experience in Information Technology or Broadcast Media environmentBasic experience with Linux, Windows OS, VMware, AWS EC2 and Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting using ubiquitous OS tools (ex.
ping, trace route, netstat)Working knowledge of remote support tools such as RDP, VNC, Telnet, and SSHAbility to work any shift schedule MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK IN A 24/7 OPERATIONS CENTER, 2 POSITIONS ARE NEEDED FOR OVERNIGHT SHIFT (4 days a week, Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat)1st:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
